Uncertain grounds
In 2013, Jericho is at a point where a loss does not damage him, no matter who it's to. He's passed that point. He's not at a point where his standing with fans (except people who LITERALLY started watching last year and aren't aware of anything he did prior to January) is gonna change cause he lost to a new guy that's apparently getting a solid push. The "what if" factor means jackshyt til it happens. Fandango could flop, but I'm pretty sure Jericho will still be over. It ain't the end of the world.

i guess youre right...

maybe im just a jericho stan...i remember the wcw run the undisputed champ moment etc...idk just seems like most guys with his resume get treated with more respect...

Most guys with his resume are also extra-protective of their spot and marks for themselves tho'... and that's not even a bad thing, but I'm just sayin'. Sure Austin would never do it, Bret Hart wouldn't do it, Michaels or HHH wouldn't do it... but Jericho doesn't seem to be as caught up in that. I know why it looks like a downgrade and something he's above doing, but Jericho is probably glad to be the opponent for someone having his "debut" match at WrestleMania (which shows Vince/HHH must view Curtis as a pet project, because I don't believe they've ever done this for someone).

I fully expect Jericho to do the job at WM. And I hope the feud continues as a result because I think it could be fun. As already mentioned, Chris is one of the few (if not the only) established stars that ENJOYS working with and putting over newer & younger talent.
