What time signature is this?
it sounds like 4/4, but i’m not sure because the sample is making it difficult.

I know this is an old post, but I searched the entire site for Miles Davis topics and came across this.

I’m 99.9% sure it’s standard 4/4 time. It may sound like it’s not because the trumpet is playing a lot of 8th & 16th notes with a tie to the next measures, but just it’s 4/4 bruh
