My daughter goes to charter school
She's just started first grade
She reads and writes at a 4th grade level
Shes learning Greek and then Latin
Shes been doing science projects since last year
Her classes are from 8 to 3:30
She learns so fukkin much it's crazy
We moved so her moms takes public transportation about 6-8 hours a day to keep her there
The staff is really involved

do any of you cat remember when this scandal was going on?

Gay sex scandal rocks Spokane - seattlepi.com

what was the sentiment like up there.......

I was in High School when that happened, I guess. I don't even know anything about it. I could ask my dad next time I talk to him, he'd probably remember.

Spokane is on the other side of Washington, and the difference between Eastern and Western Washington is kind of night-and-day. Our (Western) rain clouds don't get past the Cascade mountains, so they (Eastern) have a more dry, arid climate, and it's almost completely rural. This creates two different cultures, which you could see just by looking at students from UW and WSU.

Anyway, that doesn't tell you anything about your question, but unless that story created a big media buzz, I probably wouldn't even hear about it if it happened today.

Charter Schools are OK there is a lot of hype behind them though , I did some work at one for a year

Good neighborhoods/cities/areas have good public schools
Bad neighborhoods/cities/areas have bad public schools

Charter school just at times offer a slight bit more structured system of education , which of course given that environment the average child will flourish

In regards to your question vote yes, having these will only help SOME students and saving some is better than saving none

Yeah, I crossed out "No" and voted "Yes", and sent my ballot out yesterday.
