Yeah, he's the wrong guy to be co-signing.He don’t like the way they say the n word so he can’t cast them in his films
Probably true. I mean, listen to their nonsense pronunciation:He don’t like the way they say the n word so he can’t cast them in his films
And talk about how they went into the deep south and a couple of Klan rallies to be as authentic as possible. lolBullocks. Some limey bloke will be screaming out the n word in his new shıt.
But there's also been hundreds of cases where regional-specific accents took viewers completely out of movies. It goes in cycles - all through the 40s, 50s, 60s American actors were doing the 'transatlantic' accent.
As with anything else - market forces. Tarantino can cast whoever he likes, hes an auteur but these big studios don't care about what hes saying.
Its acting at the end of the day. I don't want to end up in a world where the greatest actors can't play the greatest roles just because they didn't grow up in the same town as the character.
They're cheaper, at least until they reach A list status. I think thats the bottom line. But there's also been hundreds of cases where regional-specific accents took viewers completely out of movies.
It really changes depending on the side of the coin the industry is on. Now it seems to be cast a British for any American role. The counter being why would you cast as such, when there are more than capable star American actors ready for that role?
It might be because a lot of these British actors are doing these flat accents. It goes in cycles - all through the 40s, 50s, 60s American actors were doing the 'transatlantic' accent.

is he supposed to be some phenominal actor?Isn’t this a “thing” in the industry though. I remember reading about some black American actors being frustrated by it. But again, to everyone else’s point, start acting as good as Kaluuya and you’ll get parts.
This. More jobs for 'Muricans!I agree with him
