Nah not really. But I remember being in cegep (combination of last year of highschool and 1st year university here in Quebec) and mad people were getting tickets for jaywalking around my school, especially black people.

You don’t!
In the UK for examples there is no such stupid notion as jaywalking, you can cross the street wherever you want apart from motorways.
It is CLEAR that just like smoking weed nobody obeys this law.
In the UK the people have the freedom to use their own judgement, there are no dotted lines.
Unless it’s a motorway then you cannot, but even that is not even called jaywalking it’s just walking.
Remove the law altogether.
Ask anyone from the UK about jaywalking & they’ll laugh at you.
