I have been paying attention friend:planned:
I'm paying attention to it's military and the moves it's making in that regard. Don't care about the economic issues, because the global economy will be going to total shyt in our life time.
Putin can't even control his own territory and you think he's going to make international moves that will threaten us?
Putin has a weak hand but he isn't an idiot, and he does care about his economy, so he's not going to do something outlandishly stupid. He doesn't forget that economic issues and being mired in external conflict are two of the main factors that brought down the Communist regime.
Putin's military is still FAR surpassed by the American military, especially in its ability to project power. He had literally one military base, and thus one country of influence, outside of his border nations and he already played that hand. In fact, in keeping Assad alive he eventually had to help cut the legs out from under Isis, whom he would have preferred to leave a lot more powerful in order to keep giving the USA trouble.
Outside of that, everything Putin will be capable of doing is limited to the countries on his direct border in Russia's traditional sphere of influence. And he's probably going to want to continue committing small forces, nothing major. I'm not sure that Ukraine won't be the biggest move he makes, and the biggest move I can possibly imagine is the Baltic states. Stuff that America doesn't like, but certainly not stuff that threatens American global dominance outside of Russia's truncated sphere.
Then again, who knows what Trump will pull?
