that's what these new cats don't understand. Cole, Kendrick.... so safe. We've been here before, and it was done better back then. I rock with rappers that do NEW shyt. take me places where hip hop hasn't been and do it well. Not some struggle backpack rapper 'bringing the feeling back'. FOH
He's Joey Badass with a Roc Chain

I'll say it again, that Hov co-sign did more for his career than he ever did.

He's boring and I hate his songs where he's talking about sex, he sounds like a pedo on Wet Dreamz

majority of his fan base is females and he's been building that fan base due to the big line of singles that is labels hooked him up with by doing that he can do things like no feature plat album.

the biggest single I think he probably had was that party song with Beyonce

That song got him tons of female fans from Beyonces fanbase

Im sure if those rappers you said only do 50k will be having a plat album if they got Cole's singles especially with Beyonce. Making singles that appeal to females.

yeahhhhhhhhhh... that song with Beyonce gave him a plat album... yeah :dahell:

dont be a dummy brehh.. Cole BEEEN had a female fanbase FYM

nikka r u fr

No that song exposed him to a fan base which will buy albums of artist they like or are interested in and if they like him will buy his. Which many did(albums after that single)

Granted he did have a women fanbase before but it grew thanks to those damn singles that reached the females.

Maybe not now but when that song was release 2011-2012 it got tons of spin and was all over the music video playing channels.
Foh :camby: u Cole fans love pretending and lying that Cole got where he is because he's some "great MC/Rap artist"

I don't even stan him and I know he got where he's at because of his music. Cole represents the everyday person. He's humble. A great rapper. It's hard not to like him. You're in denial and clearly a cole hater.

Who else on ROC nation's blew up?

Big Sean
DJ Khaled
DJ Mustard
Jay Electronica
Kanye West
Meek Mill
Rihanna
Vic Mensa to a certain degree.

Here's the question: who else had a bigger ROC nation push than J Cole?

Look at this timeline on wiki:

J Cole was THE first artist I ever heard associated with Roc Nation.

It says 2009. Knowing hip hop ducktales, dude was probably signed well before then.

Jay Elec and Willow were their next acts. And they blew up considering their weak non-existent body of work and connections to Jay
It's a trick question. The answer is nobody. No one has been pushed as hard and as long as J Cole has

Those people didn't blow up on ROC.

jay z has/had a lot of other artist who never blew or were hot for a little (like beans)
don't downplay cole at all, his fanbase was made all by him and his brand.

he's one of the greatest of our generation.
