I don't think we're even allowed to trade Holiday for a few months. KOQ, Holiday and a (protected) first wouldn't be a bad deal for Okafor; he catches flak but I was extra high on him out of the draft and his game would compliment KP better than 95% of players. That said, if I'm not mistaken this rumor started as just a suggestion/idea from Bill Simmons and snow balled through minor blogs. Don't think I've seen a legitimate journalist cite it or source it as legit. Okafor could fetch more than that and we've got two young C's under contract plus a starting C making 18 mil per...so it's not a position of need which would combine with Phil's refusal to move first rounders so far to make me think it ain't happening.

Not a fan of Okafor next to KP..... I rather they get Noel.
:yeshrug:
Anyhow no more trades for Picks..... None.... Zip.... Zero

:stopitslime:

They don't work out. Even contenders like the Spurs trade for Picks and wind up with Finals MVP's. Let's be more like them
:ehh:
okafor was just the third round pick in the draft
gettin him and giving up what will most likely be a late 2018 pick is a steal
i'm against giving up picks to get superstars/veterans
not young players who could be our future

doubt the trade happens anyway

We been burned before with that "it'll be a late pick" talk. We don't know what will happen in 2018, most the teams starter could be injured (including okafor who had to shut his rookie season down early) and we could be giving away a damn good pick....... Again.

For Jahlil Okafor, why not?
He's worth a pick easy, chances are 2018 pick wouldn't yield a guy as good as Okafor, probably not even close. Plus he's super young too, THOSE are the kind of players you give up a pick for if need be.

But then again I'm high on Okafor, he already has one of the best post games in the league, and even if doesn't become a great defender( I wouldn't give up yet on someone so young though), someone like KP could help mask some of his flaws.

That's what I'm saying. You keep your picks to draft a guy like Okafor, so if you can get him now & to possibly build with KP, why not pull the trigger on the deal.
