Sooo... is that a good signing? I've seen his name but don't know anything about him

Here's a breakdown from when he played for us last summer. At the time he showed a lot of potential and a crazy motor, but the Mavs stole him by offering 3 years. He wound up breaking his leg (I think) and getting released, then put up ugly stats for Real Madrid (can't comment on his play there, didn't watch). The article below is a bit of a hype job...well a major hype job...it's touching on a lot of aspects of his game, but overselling them a bit.

Why the New York Knicks Made a Mistake not Keeping Maurice Ndour | KnickerBlogger.Net

The length, athleticism and motor are all pretty legit. He showed some touch on his J and defensively he did stand out some. But this was in summer league and while there was plenty of upside, none of it guaranteed that he'd be legit. What I will say though is that he looked like an NBA player worth a bottom of the roster type of spot. I just don't like that we now have 3 swing F's and no flat out PF; but I do think Ndour could potentially be a PF with the small ball movement in the NBA.

D rose showed out against all the ' apparent ' top PGs' in the league last year

Terrible first year coach , jim.ys ISO ball and his fractured face at start of the season attributed to people sayin he was washed

If you check his head to heads against other teams with ' elite' point guards u will see he ain't lost a step
Proof?

I think a lot of us wanted Ndour on the team last year, glad to see he's getting another shot in the NBA after that injury last year. Sasha being on the team shouldn't make a difference but it feels like his bum ass is gonna find a way onto the court somehow:martin:

And I hope that doesn't mean that Chasson Randle kid won't make the team now, only saw a couple summer league games but it seemed like he was the standout player on the team this year.

I watched him play for Senegal against Canada last week. Dude was very disruptive with his length and created problems on the perimeter. Was actually wondering why he wasn't in the NBA :leon:

I think Ron Baker is the last guy on a contract but man Randle looked great out there.

That's what makes the Sasha signing so damned annoying. If they like him that much, they should give him an assistant slot or some ish. I'd have no qualms about giving both Baker AND Randle a shot with Sasha sitting out. I'd be alright with dropping one of them if we brought in a quality guard for depth also. But Sasha ain't worth letting either of those guys walk (and that's not me saying either rookie would be a sure thing either, just that Sasha isn't good enough to warrant not taking a shot on both).
