But after taking some heart medicine its not that bad. Its just a kick the can down the road move similar to what he did with AA and D-Will

I don't think the plan is to get another Center with KP. It'll probably be to go small with KP at center (similar to how Hornecek had Frye) and to move Melo to the 4. I expect them to go after Turner for sure now, and a SG as well to open up the paint for guys to drive.

If D'Rose beast in his contract year we'll be dangerous

Its actually not that crazy of a move, the only real FML in the whole thing is we added Grant, and Waived Wroten. We don't know where they were developmentally but still we'll never know

The absolute worst thing the knicks can do right now is spend big money on a center. The advantage of Melo and KP is keeping Melo and KP on the court at all times, but being able to interchange them at the 4, at will. That's why Phil was ok with moving RoLo. He realized that RoLo has to sit when you play small ball.

Next year, as long as everyone stays moderately healthy: 1-Rose, 3-Melo, 4-KP or 1-Rose, 4-Melo, 5-KP will be on display for at least 35-40 minutes a night. That's insane.

A spot-up/off-ball 2 has to be a top priority right now to ensure that when the ball swings out to Melo on the PnR, he feels comfortable kicking it back out.

I think we can find a young rim defender for cheap now or later. However, whoever it is, has to understand they're going to see limited minutes because we want the 4/5 mismatch all the time.

Save for the 2014-15 warriors, every single team in any sport he roots for takes the most horrible L to end their season. Think Michigan vs Michigan state, Seahawks vs patriots, panthers vs Broncos, New England starting 10-0, finishing 12-4, and losing in the afc title game. The heat losing to the Spurs, the Knicks melting down vs Indiana. The Tar Heels losing at the buzzer, the blue jays losing in the manner they did to the royals, the way the Hawks unraveled and the way the cavaliers lost everyone but LeBron in the finals last year. He was responsible for all of these.

Better than giving Mike Conley the max, at least with Rose they can evaluate how he does and make a decision without being locked into him for the next 4 years.


Also, if Porzingis can get his weight up he might be the answer at center, and in turn they can look for PFs.
