With Melo, Rose and Kristraps, we should be a playoff team, that's all I wanted, was for the Knicks to very least make the playoffs, and if all three guys stay healthy, that will certainty happen

The trade allows for cap flexibility going into the future, but it still puts the team in win now mode while Melo is still on the team.
It's D Rose contract year so I expect him to ball out...I know it's more to come as far as how the roster is going to shaped out
I honestly feel Phil thinks we have a legit shot at KD...we'll see

It was a good idea to trade ro while he had good value
We got rid of Calderon and we don't need grant now that we have wroten
We didn't give up any draft picks
Rose is in a contract year and is looking to get the last big pay day of his career. New team, contract year . He has Alll the motivation in the world to play good this year and horn is the perfect coach for his talents
Next season is a better free agent class than this one and we will lots of money to spend on max level players whether Rose plays good or not
Phil must be very careful on what he does next Tho. I think I'd Ratha gasol or Noah on short term deals if we can't get someone like Hortford. I don't trust Howard

This is compelling.dont be short sighted...its all to get more cap room
after this year....if rose is what he used to be....(unlikely) we can put some money into him into the future...if he isnt...all that cap room and we still have our picks
we got rid of lopez's contract, calderons contract...and the only somewhat L we take is...not exactly finding out what jerians ceiling was
