Let's hope not then the moronic front office and fans on this site will say" it's the playoffs anything can happen we can get hot and go all the way" that's the shyt that kills this team, it's not good enough to be in the playoffs and have done nothing to deserve it.Knicks schedule isn't looking toobad. A lot of those games are winnable.

The underplayed story of this season is how much better the Knicks are when Porzingis is sharing the floor with Anthony. That two-man lineup is a +66 this season through 1,471 minutes, which is by far the most productive pairing for the Latvian rookie.
The 20-year-old said he hopes to work out with Anthony - who owns a gym in New York - during the offseason to improve his post moves. Porzingis also indicated he may seek out the assistance of a "former NBA player who is really good in the post," which certainly fits the profile of Hakeem Olajuwon.
"I'll sit down with Phil, Steve (Mills) and Kurt and just really hear their opinion because that's the most important. They're the guys who take care of me so I want to hear their opinion about it," Porzingis said. "Really think about it. Sit down with my family. Obviously if they don't want me to play, 100 percent, then I will probably listen to them. But at the same time I really want to help my national team. It's a big opportunity for us to make it to the Olympics. So I really just have to sit down with a fresh mind and make the right decision."
Also I wouldn't be surprised if Melo stays and they go after Rondo and maybe Bazemore.![]()
Stop it. They need way more than a back up PF to be decent. What about coach? They need a real point guard. No more of these fantasy quick fixes can help the team. A decent team doesn't make the playoffs. They need real improvement .Low key, if they managed that and added a legit back-up PF with an exception, they'd have a pretty nice squad next season. I prefer the youth route, but there aren't many young promising PG's (any?) around and I like Bazemore or Crabbe over the 20+ million SG's not named Batum. A lot of this offseason depends on what Melo wants to do with that NTC though.

As awkward and hot-headed as Rondo is, I'll take him. His first season he's gonna try to make an impression. THAT'S the Rondo I want. I'll even take Luke as a coach if the offense is implemented better and tweaked a little bit. I don't feel we need DRASTIC changes to really click as a team to be reckoned with. Then again I ain't been watching like I normally do either

If he opts out good, more cap space. But he ain't going nowhereI find it hilarious VuYaChick getting Affallo minutes
...is the sole reason (instead of working on his game) he'll opt out, tho

I'd love for AA to opt out and D-Will to opt in. We'd have money for either a top tier FA (though I'm not big on any of the options) or space to really go hard at a quality pairing for our backcourt. Right now, I'm operating from the state of mind that he opts in and we need to make him a 6th man mainly because that leaves us with the guaranteed cap space we have to work with. If AA opted out, I'd combine the savings with our cap space and start checking around for PG's that might be available for a salary dump (PHX rebuilding? Would Minne eat Calderon's expiring for long term relief on Ricky Rubio's contract?).
