By the time Melo agrees to waive the no trade, it's going to be too late anyways. It's probably too late as it is now. The contract is more prohibitive than the no-trade is.

This offseason, with increased flexibility across the league, there's a chance they could still get good value, if they are looking to make a move. Given that there was some chatter about Cle/Bos/NY making a deal, if/when cleveland comes up short again, maybe they decide they want to unload Love.

We'd get excellent value for Melo if he wasnt getting the near max. His contract is freakin terrible. The Knicks should have just matched what Chicago or Houston were offering. Melo on a contender with a manageable deal and willing to be a 6th man type of player that comes off the bench and just scores would be perfect for him. But that's not happening.

Have you seen some of the projected max deals for this off season beloved?

:what: Jeremy's a solid backup who's a below-average defender. How does this resolve our PG problems?
He was our best option at that point.

Moving on, I am surprised this is even a game. I actually think a W here is actually a bad win. We need to focus on L's from here on out...nobody this year excites me outside of Ben Simmons, but we should try to get a better chance at a high pick.
