He’s some good news for Knicks fans.
A Queens street will be named in honor of late Knicks great Anthony Mason, who died nearly a year ago after suffering a massive heart attack.
A section of 147th St. between 123rd Ave. and Rockaway Blvd. will be co-named “Anthony Mason Way,” after the City Council last week approved a proposal to rename 42 streets throughout the city.
Mason, who was 48 when he died, grew up in South Jamaica. Springfield Gardens, Mason’s high school, named its court for the late Knick last May.
Mason, a fan favorite during the last of the Knick glory years in the 1990s, was a bruising power forward with dribbling skills and a soft shooter’s touch.
He played with the Knicks from 1991 to 1996, and won the NBA’s Sixth Man Award in 1995 and was named an NBA All-Star while playing for the Miami Heat in 2001.
He also played for the Nets, Hornets, Nuggets, and Bucks.
Oh shyt that's a few blocks down niceMase getting a street named after him.
