Nah bruh. We don't need that quitter

Don't ever come out the side of your mouf about the Notorious J.V.G. :birdman:

My list right now is: Luke and Thibs.

But let this season play out, and I'll see what develops. There was a thought that they'd keep fisher as a hook to try to sign KD, but they must have realized that if he can't coach at all, he might not be a big draw.

You know... Fresh... I actually like you, breh. No hard feelings for what I'm about to say...

You entire franchise is a THOT. Meaning, you wouldn't even be mentioned if it wasn't for any drama related to a premier or legendary team that's playing yall.

No matter how hard or good your team plays... they will never be memorable. Knicks haven't won since the 70s yet the 90s Knicks teams are mentioned alot because they were memorable.

How does it feel... to stan a team that will always be a "lil brother" sports organization.

If your franchise was a Disney character..it'd be Scar from the Lion King, depressed and emotional because no one loved it like it deserved to be loved.

If your franchise was a suburban teen, his name would be Brolan and he'd have emotional issues because when daddy was home from the office, daddy never showed him love or told him how proud he was of his youth basketball trophies.

Believe me, yall crave to have Melo... because he'd create headlines in the news, effectively making the team relevant again, regardless of how he plays.

So breh.... hug?

:dwillhuh: #YourEntireFranchiseIsATHOT

I mean if this cat likes getting his shyt pushed in, that's on him. I'm concerned with can he slash and get assists and knock down jumpers. I don't think Teague is that much better plus his asking price probably includes DWill and/or Lance. We can prob get Jennings for parts and Dwill might flourish with an uptempo PG that knows how to get ppl shots. :yeshrug:

Wow....yes I'm unwilling to part with Lance Thomas in certain deals. :francis: Low key NY has been missing him too. Don't front.

I think Teague is quicker & can get to the rim better than Jennings. Maybe earlier in Jennings career he might've been quicker but I think he's lost some explosiveness because of the injuries. I think Teague is the better defender too.

:rudy: Dude's a quitter & that even came from his own mouth as a regret with the Knicks organization. The Knicks deserve better than him.

I guess Luke Walton is the future. Also I hope Phil makes some trades. Move some people around.

I'm kool with that as long as Walton is given a chance with a roster that fits what Phil wants to run, like you mention in your post. None of this pick up bad fits for your system then blame the coach. I'm personally sick of all the drama of being disturbed in the season everyday about this revolving door of coaches. Get a coach that can run the system you want. Get players that fit that system. Give the coach a 3 to 5 year deal, and if he underachieves, don't extend him. That simple.

JVG? :skip: I doubt Phil hires him. Isn't there some bad blood there? And Phil wouldn't be able to control Jeff.

Back in 99 when we went to the Finals & were the 8th seed JVG was supposed to be fired & Phil was supposed to replace him as coach the following season. JVG was bumping heads with Ernie Grunfeld the GM at the time because of the trades that brought in Camby & Spree. That story leaked to the press (Dolan's meet & greet with PJ) because from what I remember it was just about a done deal but we ended up going to the Finals with H20 saving his job. Dolan should've fired him anyway because JVG ended up quitting on the team but Grunfeld got fired instead & we ended up getting that bum Layden as GM.

Considering Knick brehs of all types have repeatedly flirted with hanging up their Fandom because of the bullshyt, politics and tragedies that happen with this organization, don't tell me for one minute you can't give benefit of the doubt to a coach...

Who jumped in the middle of a pack of 7 footers to protect his players.

And who's hair started going noticeably grey and thin as a result of the constant "he's getting fired if we lose the next game" rumors.

I'd have quit too. That man gave EVERYTHING as a coach.

Stop.

He'll run a tighter rotation.......which is quite simply the only thing important thing they don't do. I wouldn't mind Thibs running 9 guys out there while this current offensive system is kept :yeshrug:

He won't do anything Phil doesn't tell him to do. Fish did what he was asked. Phil told Fish how long of a rotation to run. Phil built the roster. Phil wanted to force his offense on the roster he built that doesn't fit it. Phil is "all about process, not results and playoffs" aka Zen babel, blah, blah, blah. Phil has been trash and no one wants to say it. That said, I don't want him fired before he's given a chance, like he did Fisher.
