Honestly I've only seen a few pics of him over the years, and I've never really listened to his music, aside from a couple joints here and there that Jake One produced, and a song with Freeway. Mostly I didn't know he was white because of his name. When I was young, Brother Ali just never struck me as a name a white dude would choose as a rap name. This was years ago. Now it's easy to just realize that he's Muslim. But no I never would've guessed that he was born Jason Douglas Newman.

One thing I'll say for sure is that he always annoyed me and his whole persona made me not want to check his music.
