Put me on to Bourbon/Scotch/Whiskey(Spinoff)

Piggy backing off the wine thread...Someone put me on to the scotch game...only one Im really versed in is Jameson..want to expand my palate...break down the aging process for me if u know as well...feel like bourbon is a mans drink... Deals are closed over a good scotch... feedback appreciated..

I've drank a decent amount of whiskeys. There's so many though. One good bourbon to try is stranathan's. My girlfriend brough me a bottle one time as present (she's from Colorado and the whiskey is made there) and we sat and took shots of it, ate baked French toast and oranges, then had some orange chicken chili I made. Best brunch/lunch ever.

I prefer go to bars that specialise in whiskeys. Like there's one in London call the Lexington, one in Leeds I went to once for my birthday. A few others.

Also, you should try this Japanese whiskey Nikka Whisky. I had that one day while I was traveling for this gig, had me loopy the whole afternoon

Johnnie Walker Blue Label is a nice entry-level, high-price-point scotch. You can't go wrong with that one.

Good whiskey isn't cheap. So, I'd advise you to find some whiskey tasting events before throwing money at individual bottles.

Try Jefferson's Reserve or Basil Hayden. Those are good for everyday sipping and a good introduction to whiskey.
