Those are the guys that have shown some impressive qualities this season.

Some people say that there is great potential in Blake Wesley. I don't disagree. But his development might take a while.

As far as Sandro Mamukelashvili... I can see people are a bit excited about his potential. I just don't know how the Spurs view him long term.

My question for the guys in this thread is: If the Spurs get Wembanyama, he's obviously the Center and you build and run everything around him. But if they wind up with Scoot Henderson or Brandon Miller...who is the odd man out?

If they get Miller, you can't run a lineup with Miller+Sochan+Keldon.

And if they get Henderson, I guess that creates a battle at PG between him and Branham. -- Edit - I meant Wesley...but either one, I guess

If they get Miller, It's going to be tough because they just extended Keldon. But its either him or Collins to either be the spark off the bench or get traded.

If they go Scoot then Wesley, Jones go to the bench.

Good job by Pop getting the tank back on track last night :ehh:
Saw a tweet last night that Mamu went off.

Then I saw the box score and the Spurs lost by like 35.

Sochan is young and what I saw in this video is that he wants to learn what he can do to be better. To be great.
I don't think Tony really had an answer for him.

What I did like about the video is when Parker talked about Manu, Tim and himself being really close and going out to dinners together.
Because they were genuine friends off the court, that helped to build their relationships on the court. And I do think that was part of their success.

I don't know if that kind of connection and friendship is possible with these Spurs right now. Like Tony said...Tim was really the glue to all of that. And these current Spurs don't have that veteran leader. But maybe Sochan becomes that guy. Or Vassell. Or Keldon. Or...who knows?

But out of all the players the Spurs have had in recent years, Sochan seems like the player most likely to be a "glue guy". I think he has the potential to be the Spurs' engine -- even if other players might be the primary ball handlers or scorers on a particular night.

Patty tried to be that leader when he was here but its only efficient if the leader is one of the best players on the league. Timmy spoiled us because he was the GOAT PF, top 5 of all time and was the ultimate teammate. I think these young guys have good chemistry but we need one of them to become a top 10 player in the league for it to translate to some success. I agree that Sochan has the best chance at being that guy.
