looks like Ross chose Wayne's side
This isn't true.Rick Ross saved Lil Wayne from embarrassmentit would've been a travesty had Ross left Pusha's verse on there. Play those verses back to back, and it directly shows that difference between a legitimate lyricist, and some guy that just makes words rhyme. Pusha's verse was picture perfect, meticulous, and you get FEEL it. Wayne's verse was just.....lifeless words. And THAT guy is some of y'alls legendbless y'alls hearts that were just reaching cognitive decision-making age as Wayne was reaching his peak, that's who represents your time period
This isn't true.
Wayne stayed on topic and made a song with a beautiful melody and tone
He didn't attack the song like we know he could.
Let's be real here
Pusha can rap but his song-making ability is non-existent.
Pusha verse sounded outta place.
Pusha was on a luxury type bragging song talking about other rappers and desperately defending his outdated 1 dimensional subject matter.Thank you for confirming the mindset of a Wayne stan --- delusional

I think someone hit the nail on the head on another forumYou got dudes in their feelings, but you’re 100% right, big difference between the two.
Right, I do agree his verse obviously doesn’t match with the content of this song...at all, but from a wordsmith perspective, fukking dopeI think someone hit the nail on the head on another forum
Push sounds like he was being a craftsman who put his verse together with thought and an actual writing process
Wayne sounds like he was just high and damn near freestyling/1 taking it
Even when people were saying Wayne was the greatest rapper alive and when he was on everything there was a lack of focus and consistency.

Why didn't you sayIf you kick back and listen to MNIMN, Daytona, King Push, Fear of God, and Wrath of Caine and only come away with "he's one dimensional", I'm really not sure what to tell you
Wayne's verse, tone and flow relates to the hook of the song though.I think someone hit the nail on the head on another forum

Didn't say it didn't. I am saying Wayne's quality level always varied verse to verse. So this is not indicative of how hard Wayne can spit. I also was saying Wayne has a tendency to say random lines next to one another that don't always relate to one another.Wayne's verse, tone and flow relates to the hook of the song though.
What you talking about
Wayne is the GOAT. But I agree he can be inconsistent at times.Didn't say it didn't. I am saying Wayne's quality level always varied verse to verse. Also sticking to a concept doesn't mean you always had a better verse. Jay's diamonds verse was clearly about himself and Rocafella despite the concept the original song clearly being about actual diamonds from Sierra Leone (regardless of what Ye says in his remix verse) and it's pretty much the consensus that Jay killed it.
Why didn't you say
"If you think Pusha mentions cocaine in literally every song I don't know what to tell you" to Push himself when he made the verse.
Don't shoot me for addressing what was directly said
