I mentioned those earlier. I actually said they were worse. And over four or five tracks. But Buddens didn't have eyes on him and he didn't have a hook to grab Drake's shield. If he was able to drop some shyt like this, THEN do that five song run it would have had Drake crawling. But I think one of the most important factors is that Push got Drake to look aggressive. This isn't looking like he's bullying him with disses. Drake squared up and that is important if you want to take the masses from him. Once Drake squared up Push could really do his thing without coming off as a bully. That's how you keep the Corporate Twitters at bay.
Honestly drake just ain't want no smoke .

And he knows joe wouldn't stop for nothing .

I know y'all wanted it to be Meek, Jay, Cole or Kendrick but those are all high value targets just like Drake. With a high value target you don't even need to find dirt, just dust. Too much for them to lose.

But Pusha occupies just the right space to put Drake in a bind. He's not relevant enough for dirt to be easy to dig up nor interesting enough to sway momentum. He's known JUST enough that Drake might feel insecure if he ignored the Infared diss, not popular enough to get any mass support, yet someone who could still give Drake credibility if knocked off. An easy target that looked like it would only hurt him if he ignored it.

I don't think anyone else was really in the right spot to pull this off. Just an amazing combination of factors. This is why Jay was so selective with his beefs. In hindsight going at Camron was really dangerous.

This is the first true humbling Drake has gotten. It's going to be interesting to see how he handles it.

Different era different situation

Cam was legit signed to Roc-A-Fella. He was an employee of Jay’s. Jay was always in a superior position to Cam.

Besides that, by the time Jay and Dipset REALLY went at it Jay had already cemented himself as a legend. I mean can you REALLY go to war with a nikka wjo retired with a FIRE album and transitioned to the PRESIDENT of a storied and respected label like Def Jam when you were JUST signed to that nikka?

Cam was good for a few jokes but he was never really a “threat” to anyone with true Hip Hop pedigree. Not Jay, Not Nas, Not 50. Nobody

Once Drake brought up Pusha's fiancee, the gloves were off. I dont wanna hear Pusha crossed the line. Drake went and made shyt personal when Pusha was only speaking on industry shyt.

Some of the same people appalled by Pusha's 40 bars had nothing to say when Drake got at Cudi for his mental health issues

life will always hand you a curve when you get out your lane

bro could've been the upgrade on the will.smith pop.rap archetype

but he insisted on tryna verbally spar with real wolves

like my nikka life is not an rpg you can't absorb the exp. points from the gangsters you let eat off your plate in exchange for fake friendships

none of these real nikkas knew or would ever know aubrey if he wasn't set on chasing rap stereotypes

bro was never built to compete with cats actually from the neighborhoods at the heart of the culture

like i said when you aren't being yourself eventually life will put you in a situation to remind you where you from for real

get back to the simpgawd sound & stick to that

know you are not qualified to talk grease
