He didn’t even make Down & Out! He got props for that one for almost 20 years :stopitslime:
Yeah, Brian Miller made the beat for Down and Out.

But honestly I really don't see how that's Kanye's fault. It's right there in the credits that Brian Miller produced it. I think people just assumed that Kanye made it because it was a soul sample and Kanye rapped on the hook.

So the leak wasn't the actual album?
It's possible he makes some adjustments since it leaked early. But the tracklist of what we got is the tracklist he posted on Twitter

The only talk I've heard about Ye jacking beats was actually after NASIR. A lot of those beats had a Madlib vibe to them, and there were some rumors that maybe Kanye basically remade some Madlib beats (that he didn't use from the Pablo sessions.)

I felt like this was the case - so much so that I even said it in the Nasir thread the night the album dropped.

I'm fukking with Bonjour, Adam and Eve and Simple Things the most off the first listen.

Getting crazy Madlib vibes off the beats. Maybe it's the way they made the samples sound warm in the mix, or just the choice of samples - both musical and vocal.

shyt reminds me of 'Auditorium' off 'The Ecstatic', 'No More Parties In LA' and some of Pinata and Madvillain. :ehh:

I always found it interesting that Madlib did a flip of the 'Bonjour' on 'Education' off Bandana too (or was he just taking his shyt back?) :sas2:
