i'll give you migos, but not future. "racks" and "same damn time" were big singles and "dirty sprite", "streetz callin" and "freebricks" were very popular mixtapes, and i'm sure others rocked with some of his other tapes during that era, but those two for sure i know i heard when i was in school in philly (played by people who were from all over the country)

Tony Montana came out before Same Damn Time and Racks wasn’t his song and came out damn near the exact same time as Tony Montana.

Wtf just happened here! Someone remote-controlled a bomb?

The difference with Eazy is he never pretended to be a lyricist. He never intended on being a rapper, he just owned the group and the label.

He even admitted it on record: "Ice Cube writes rhymes that I say". He never thought it was a big deal since he knew he wasn't an MC anyway.

Eazy still a legend though, pretty learned how to rap on the fly and pulled it off! RIP Eazy.

yeah word r.i.p. eazy most definitely

anyway shante has g rap write for her and she's a lyricist. emcees/lyricists can and have had writers

Same damn time came out before tony Montana, was on his mixtape. And Future was pretty much 2/3 of racks (intro, hook, and verse), who cares he was billed as the featured artist, he made the song and people thought it was his.

Regardless, those mixtapes before tony Montana and Pluto had him on the national radar, I can't say the same for Migos, but cats knew Future without a Drake co-sign.

i rank eazy an an emcee, one of the dopest as a matter of fact

you can be an emcee and have writers. biz markie did & a host of others

Don't reach just to support a bogus position.

Biz is a legend, E is a legend as well but you know good and gotdamn well nobody is going to be putting them on any 'lists' concerning greatest rapper anything. People are able to put their talent and contributions in proper perspective.

Drake on the other hand has been vying for rap supremacy under false pretenses. Top 5 this, all me that, GOAT, last name greatest ect.

You wanna call him a great artist, cool. But he's more along the lines of a Britney Spears/Madonna than he is Rakim in that respect. But he, by his own admission doesn't want to be seen as a 'product'. He ain't satisfied with being pop tart supreme.

Same thing with Kante. With him being more known for production he should be more along the lines of a Dr. Dre or even Quincy Jones type, introducing new artists, birthing them. Instead of showcasing nikkas as much as he COULD, he'd rather lift their songs/sounds so HE can be the 'GREATEST RAPPER', because he's a fukking narcissist.

fukk that, fukk anybody co-signing that.

Drake 31 years old, still needs help to write a song :mjlol:

Actually, it's other artists that need Drakes help to write songs.

6 Songs You Didn't Know Drake Wrote

5. “30 Hours,” "Father Stretch My Hands" and "Facts" - Kanye West

When West’s seventh studio effort Life of Pablo dropped earlier this year, the set made headlines across the world thanks to its provocative lyrics, choppy release strategy and West’s bizarre Twitter antics. However, what many may have missed is that Pablo’s songwriting credits included Drake, who’s listed as a co-writer on the track “30 Hours" and "Facts."

West praised Drake for his contributions, tweeting, "I wanna thank my brother Drizzy for helping me on 30 Hours & Father Stretch My Hands. Drake would come by and just help, no strings. Future also came by to write. We all got new shyt together that's gonna drop soon."

:umad:Facts nikka.

Everytime this dude comes out with a project he has a beef with someone, then disappears for 2-3 years and you nikkas fall for his gimmick everytime.

Dude mediocre as fukk..... and no I'm not a Drake fan/D-rider... Hell I'm the first nikka on the internet that exposed Drake for stealing "The 6" from Quentin Miller.
