Memorable to who, though? Clipse and Pusha T both got very dedicated followings. They just not pop crossover acts

Neptunes and Kanye both benefited from the relationship too. Some of the Neptunes most acclaimed work is the first two Clipse albums and Lord Willin was a big success when they was launching Star Trak. And Pusha was writing a lot of Kanye's shyt, not like Kanye was doing him favors for nothing in return.
The Neptunes were legends making top 10 hits before we knew what the fukk a Clipse was :dead:

Grindin wasn’t even one of the 5 biggest Neptunes hits of 2002 :dead:

Kanye was an icon before Push even signed to GOOD:skip:

99% of the benefits came from one side

Well, they did feature on Justin Timberlake's debut single "Like I Love You" and they were also featured on a Backstreet Boys song.

Because they was Neptune's artists and Neptunes pulled strings for that to happen, probably

My point is their music, their albums, don't got much crossover appeal. But they got loyal fans. It's why Pusha T can have a #1 album 20+ years into his career without any "big hits"

We know how this go. You made it very clear you don't fukk with dude's music. So that being the case, and this being The Coli, anything that get posted and don't have a 200 million stream count gonna get dismissed as "not moving the culture"

Those are still huge crossover looks. Those were like the biggest crossover looks a new artist could've gotten at the time.

:umad:

KO: Let’s jump to hip-hop. I’m just gonna shoot this next question out there. What are your top five albums of all time?

DRAKE: Clipse, Lord Willin’.

If the Clipse didn’t exist the Neptunes would still be legendary producers. If pusha T didn’t exist Kanye would be would he a legendary producer and artist.

Trying to “both sides” those relationships is laughable :mjlol:

It's called the label did their job getting their artist high profile appearances.

Like Bad Boy got the Lox on a #1 Mariah Carey single in 1997. Like Roc-A-Fella got Beanie Sigel on a Sisqo single from an album that sold 5 mil.

Pusha T got signed to GOOD Music off the strength of the Clipse work, wasn't no favors being done.

What Clipse work? Back to back flopped albums? Till the casket dropped went triple plastic. There was no real evidence for any type of momentum for a pusha T solo project. That’s why he kept trying to come out on GOOD for years but no one cared.

You dudes are so lacking in basic industry knowledge it's ridiculous.

If you think Kanye signed him then made him president of the label out of charity, not because he thought his music was dope and pen game was sharp, cool, stick with that narrative
