"The phase I’m on, love, I wouldn’t believe it either/I’d be like, ‘Jay-Z’s a cheater,’ I wouldn’t listen to reason either/All I know is he’s a felon, how is he selling.”

Jay -Z got at Faizon Love on this record (Phase I'm On Love) :dead:

The Commission would have been fire. But BIG was so huge and such a force it's possible Hov still woulda been the Lil homie (think Memphis Bleek). Probably wouldn't have had beef with Esco
Lmao. Hov came in the game a boss and big came in a worker. How that make sense? Hov was always gon be Hov, cause Allah said so :youngsabo:

Difference is Hov actually could hold his own on songs with BIG. Whereas Bleek was ass. But agree BIG would've overshadowed him and don't think Jay would be comfortable in that dynamic for too long
Yea. Not to take anything away from his hustle, who knows-+be may have pivoted to the business side of things sooner. Either way, if Christopher Wallace is alive in 2022 then the past 25 years of hip hop looks different

Dope song.

In terms of what happens if Big had lived...ehh. I'm gonna assume 45 King gives Big the Hard Knock beat and shyt like that, but overall I agree Hov would still become Hov. He'd still probably the guy who signed Kanye, Just Blaze, etc. And to be frank (no pun intended) Jay would be doing what he wanted while Big would eventually end up complaining about the trash deal Diddy stuck him in. Not gonna say Big would end up broke and destitute like every other Bad Boy artist but it wouldn't be pretty.
