Rae and ghost and Ross do. shyt redman does and did during his prime. No one begged and pleaded for redman to make anything other than what he makes and he gave us three straight classics and several good albums since.

Ghost was asked to go back to the coke shyt and he gave us fishcale. Same with rae
Don’t get me wrong, the tape is dope. So this is no criticism, but Malice showed a whole lot more diversity with the clipse and it was dope. Even related to street shyt he took it different places. Pusha is obviously a rather smart dude, so it would be dope to see him just stretch it a little bit in the future.

But with A1 bars, flows, delivery and production/creative song structures. Thin subject of matter (over time) is whatever. It’s like enjoying mafia movies, soul/rnb “love music” or superhero movies or even sports. It’s in the details and execution.

Real talk...this album is lack luster. And imo these beats aren't like you all are portraying. Infrared is weak and that ross beat isn't that dope either. We need to understand that the old kanye is GONE, and so is his best making ability. It's a hard truth and pusha making this album 7-8 tracks did us a favor because anything more would've been more unsettling than what we are currently listening to. Let's be real you can't be 40+ and still talking about hustling and coke dealing...shyt played out
I will say that if we would made a thread predicting how this would sound most people would’ve hit it right on the head

If you’re a huge Pusha Stan you should enjoy this... but it has plenty of flaws
