Because they never are. Less is more these days. There's just too much content all around and maybe I'm a little ADD. Didn't Chris Brown release 45 tracks recently. That just fukking absurd
I get that.

shyt...I like having all those trax. Makes it more of a chance to have more shyt I'll like.

45 trax of Bhris Brown? On one disc? NO ONE would ever need that for any reason.

I don’t mind 18 dope tracks. 7 is dope too. Again the magic number for me when it comes to rap albums is 12. It’s an even number and never overstays it’s welcome. It’s got nothing to do with attention span and everything to do with not ever rapper is capable of carrying on a full blown opus

Isn't Illmatic 36 minutes long? Less if you don't count Genesis...

I'm fine with the length as long as it's dope. That goes for Nas and Kanye too. 7 means you have no room for error so let's see how it goes.
It could work sure but I dunno man theres a difference between 30 minutes and 36-9 minutes. It just gotta feel complete and satisfying. If it's fire, it's fire though :yeshrug:.

Illmatic is about 38 minutes (not including Genesis)
4:44 is 36 minutes.

I have no problem with 7 tracks if it's a great/incredible project. Also, I hope Nas drops 3 verses on most tracks.

:ohhh: Never knew it was that short...

I always losten to the bonus tracks so thats why i feels longer i guess

:patrice:So you diss Drake for having writers when your boss is Kanye who has even more writers.

:heh:Got it.

Kanye has never denied having writers/help, nor has he really compared himself to the greatest rappers in terms of writing/lyrics. Drake clearly wants to be Hov, but you can't be Hov or a true king if you don't write your rhymes. Period, the end.

Drake makes some good music, he's one of the most dominant rappers of all time, I have no "beef" with him...but breh got exposed big time and it should never be forgotten. I don't want to hear him compared to Hov/Nas, or Kendrick/Cole. He's a pop artist who sometimes raps. Not an MC.

He still raps more than Pusha. And better. Pusha takes 1 year to finish like 1 song with the obvious Drake jab. So I guess you can say he's a Drake stan that sometimes raps too.

I think he's referring to the fact that Drake is a hybrid artist like Lauyrn Hill and Missy Elliot.
