It will make a good difference. I really do believe there is something to high rep bodyweight stuff. Although these piss-poor genetics having folks online will tell you otherwise.

Yup it will,but after a while resistance will be needed to continue progress

I use to be able to do 50 straight push ups , but now I nearly die doing 20 straight. But like he said, you gotta start somewhere.

I'm at 300 daily in 6 sets of 50 in about 30 minutes. I don't advice beyond 50 due to possible joint strain/tendonitis in shoulders and elbows. When I do 100 in 5 minutes with proper form,chest touches floor and back straight I'll increase to 450. I do them in conjunction with weights and cardio though you normally won't get swole with pushups alone.
Like all body weight workouts they basically burn fat and keep you slim.
