They say there is more diversity within certain tribes than there is in whole European nations.

No, there is more diversity between tribes than between Africa and Europe. Each tribe however is no where near as admixed and multicultural as a Black American.

Yea I know that but I know there's others with similar opinions that read the thread, so I'll argue until the point where he has no comeback and spew nonsense like his last reply.

Sidenote: did the Abyssinian girl ever comeback :lupe: wanted to know if she spoke triginya too

lol, man she in Bolivia with @iZzo after her catfish episode. I wanted her to teach me Tigrinya so I could finally holla at Eritrean chicks. When they call me "Shakuri" a nikka be like :takedat:

Your position is the position that most pro black people start off with once they get knowledge... nikka everyone holds that view. This is an evolved view point- that isn't against anyone.. just very pro black american focused. .

And we can build black communities right here in the US. We could could have our own trillion dollar economy , rotating in-out of the larger us system.... if we had group economics. Only then could we provide assistance to the other blacks. I hate to put it like that.... but that's what it would be- assistance. Not on some cac superiority type shyt either, because .... after all we are some of the most watered down blacks on average which is sorta gross....
but position wise- it wouldn't be collaboration, it would be assistance.

I almost agree with this, but I view it as mutual aid rather than yall helping us. Collaboration helps everyone out, Africa is gonna have an economic explosion so the whole idea of assistance will be pointless when yall do get it together. That's why I said Pan Africanism starts economically, none of us are perfect at all but breaking bread or bringing knowledge to the table is a great start for self improvement and unity. I'd love to see Nigerian investors buy properties in Detroit and make them useful for the black people of that community, I'd like AA architects help construct homes and communities for people in Haiti, and I wouldn't be against Cuban doctors teaching nursing and running clinics in Zambia. Our commonality is that our people are fukked up in some kinda way, we should seek to help each other just as soon as we'd help ourselves. I've seen dirt poor people in America and Africa, I don't rate one above the other cuz they both in a fukked up place.

I know people who give madd money each month to causes. my group is planning a trip to africa later this year. There are so many Black Americans I know that do what they can.... No other black group gives a fukk about us-- they wouldn't blink if 75 kids died in Detroit this morning. We do appreciate what blacks do worldwide... Obviously we also learn the history of groups and tribes that aren't even our own.

I'm sorry but this is complete and utter bullshyt. I almost want to neg you :pachaha: :snoop:. You're really going to pretend Marcus Garvey, Belafonte, Stokley Carmichael, and yes, even Farrakhan didn't do anything for your people :what:? You conveniently ignore organizations like Maafa (http://www.africanholocaust.net/ah_about.htm), which is run by a diverse array of blacks from all over the globe and defintely supports your plight, and educators like Kwame Anthony Appiah and Micere Mugo who preserve your history and culture.

I'm a Shona/Tumbuka but I probably know more about West African, South African and African American history than my own (on my father's side that is). You're not unique in that sense, not even close. African American history is taught in African schools.

Poitier doesn't appreciate what blacks do worldwide. If anything, he wants us to fail since he clearly derives his sense of self worth from being "better" than non-American blacks (equivalent to the cac cry of "at least I'm not a ******").

Plenty of us care about your cause, you just don't appreciate it for some reason (which is fine).

well, I didn't know Poitier be wilin out like that, lol. I'm sure there is some reason he thinks that way.

I do agree with the rest of your post talking about those people and some notable names. You mention some people who lived their lives as Americans and really aren't the norm but it's all good. I know that I've done business w plenty of east Africans and some act funny towards AA.. only me and 1 chick were treated fairly.. the others who weren't east African at all were shytted on. I don't really have experiences or know Africans personally that really give two shyts bout AA's but I will def take ur word for it cuz ur one of the posters I respect and not gonna debate w.

I respect you too.

I think most black people generally speaking (African American, African, Caribbean, Brazilian, Black British etc.) don't care about people outside of their immediate communities to be honest, and it wouldn't be a stretch to say most human beings in general don't. Likewise, most African Americans I know and am friends with don't partake in African activism (which is fine obviously), and don't really care about Africa at all. Most people are just not into activism in my experience (props for real, for partaking btw) especially if it doesn't affect their lives or family.

I do hear what you're saying, just pointing out that there are Africans like myself who follow contemporary African American issues and sincerely value your success.

This may be ignorant but at the end of the day,I dont care how many studies they do, Ill have a hard time believing it if its from a white person if its talking about black people. Even if its innocent and inconsquential.
