That's one of the wildest takes I've ever heard. The Ravens defense only allowed more than 14 points four times that whole season. That includes the playoffs. That's the best defense of all time. Were not close to that with this squad.

That's out of context though. The fact is that Stidham played as well as any QB on the league could against our defense. There's very little to improve from what he did on Sunday. shyt, the couple of passes he did miss (and a Rodgers could hit) were outshined by the scrambling yards he got (something current Rodgers wouldn't be able to do). And Rodgers doesn't haven an alien like Adams anymore to make insane catches.

To be honest, the only fear I have of Green Bay is that "they are due" against us in the playoffs, like the Rams were due in the NFCCG. I've been scared of that since 2019 though. It's just narrative bullshyt I can't help but feel but I know it's not based on logic or anything.

Ehhh you can't choose who you play but realistically we played some trash ass offenses. When we faced Pat and Chiefs they did whatever they wanted. Seattle is like the best offense they've faced who got shut down and Geno was thought of as a journeyman last year

Brady Pat and maybe Herbert are the only legit qbs weve gone against in good offenses, and not even sure tb offense is that good anyway. Dolphins had mad receivers open and Tua was bouncing them passes. Herbert had both wide outs missing.




The defense isn't as good as the numbers show. Front seven really makes the secondary look much better.


As far as historjc defenses I've seen the Bucs D in 2002 put clamps on the Niners squad with TO and then demolish a top offense in the L with the MVP (Gannon) at the helm. We ain't there yet. That's fine tho. I think it's way too early for any historic D comparisons.

Naw. Business as usual with GB. The defense is horrible against the RPO and super scrambling QBs.

The Raiders game reminds me of the Falcons game. Defense had Mariota looking like Steve Young out there.

Yards can be an illusion. It's not an illusion to hold all of your playoff opponents under 14 points. During the season if their opponent scored two touchdowns or more they were going to lose and they went 12-4. That's an entirely different level of defense.

They got Aaron looking in sync with Watson and the other Aaron out there looking just as good as McCaffrey has......and our defense this year hasn't played well against a hot hand QB. Pat is Pat, but Mariota got in a rhythm like you said and was looking like Fran Tarkenton, just like Stidham did.

My personal preference is to avoid that danger if we could especially when GB would be looking for payback against us in the playoffs.
