He also said Purdy is the most poised rookie QB he's ever had
To be far about the poise thing, this bum grant cohn literally asked "have you ever seen a rookie qb with such poise" so it was a loaded question. Then again Kyle didn't have to answer it this way.
Tbh this game just reaffirms Purdy is less athletic Alex Smith with a wiggle, cockiness and more smarts. Ball goes mainly to RB and TE. Arm is weak even if accounting for the oblique injury. His ability to move defenders with his eyes is uncanny tho, I see what Warner was talking about
CMC is really he perfect back for Purdy. shyt even Jimmy was cooking checking down to him.

That TD pass to CMC last week wasn't something in Smith's regular repertoire. Purdy has a stronger arm than Jimmy. I think most of his checkdowns and behind the sticks throws are a result of CMC and Shanny's YAC-heavy system, I don't get the sense that he can't go downfield due to a weak arm. He definitely doesn't have Trey's arm, but I wouldn't call it weak, he looks downfield and is willing to go deep, unlike Jimmy.

nah Jimmy is better arm talent, hes just incapable throwing deep outside the numbers. Brock is able to, but youve seen that ball hang forever to Aiyuk...
to be fair, he was hurting yesterday so I understand short stuff. I can't stress how good CMC is as an outlet in the short game.

Purdy is willing to attempt the deep sideline routes.. Jimmy is probably better on the short and intermediate slants but we'll see.

We gotta give Mason more carries. He has shown even as a rookie he can be a legit power back. Once Elijah Mitchell comes back we have a legit 3 headed monster and we still have Ty Davis Price still with no use.
purdy clearly has a weaker arm but hes just more accurate then jimmy. it remains to be seen if a hes a long term answer qb but he seems like a decent game manager. he did have 2 ints dropped and overturned the past two games, im encouraged by him and i think hes better then jimmy right now.

Oh you already know what's going to happen. Say the Niners win the SB with Purdy.
They'll have a fake QB competition with Trey. But he'll still have him do the dumb ass RPO's with Trey. It will make it easier to crown Purdy the starter.
Trey will be a Texan or Panther next season.
