You might believe he's boring but to state it as generally accepted fact is foolish because it isn't true. Most see him as a premiere talent both on the mic and in the ring. I care about Punk as a character/wrestler and plenty of people to do. This feud wouldn't be interesting otherwise. It works because Rock is one of the biggest stars ever and Punk is one of the biggest right now.

You think Vince would allow Punk to be champion for 400+ days if he wasn't over with all types of fans?

I don't believe the average fan finds punk boring - especially not as a heel. He cuts the best promos in the business and has great matches. These things are tangible not just to the IWC but everyone.

The only thing I wanted to put out with what your saying is that nobdoy cares about Punk. It's foolish to say. This match wouldn't have any hype if the majority of fans were indifferent to Punk either way. Obviously The Rock is a much bigger star. No disagreement there.

Back in July? If they would of added Rock vs Bryan to that poll instead of Big Show, it would of won or been RIGHT behind Rock/Punk. Guaranteed. You apparently have no idea how over Bryan is...dude has been the break out star of the last year media wise. He's been the MVP of pro wrestling despite the year long reign of Punk..Punk was fukking looking second rate to AJ and got ETHERED by Eve out of the blue. Cena vs Johnny L main evented in his hometown. The Rock is why his push looks bigger than it has....it would be all Ryback or Cena right now if Rock wasn't around. Make NO ILLUSIONS about that. They've had Punk BARELY get by Ryback...shyt, the TLC match was basically Punk and Shield beating Ryback instead of Punk legitimately retaining. That's not a top pushed heel champion. He's the heel that talks alot and goes over the midcard faces with ease but is having major trouble beating the top faces.

I am still surprised that Punk, a heel, bum rushed Rock, a face at the end of this week's Raw. It feels like eons since we have seen a heel champ who is not a coward. I can't think of anyone except Brock's 2002-03 run at the top of my head. It's such a shame that this feud will be ending at Rumble. I would love for it to continue until at least Elimination Chamber and then have Rock v.s. Cena 2 program at Mania. I would prefer if Rock vs. Cena 2 doesn't happen altogether, but hey, you can't have everything that you want in life.
