It's genius because Puff knew he was still going to get a considerable portion of the Lox's future profits, so they better be hot to make them leaving Bad Boy worthwhile for him. Otherwise he would have just kept them as tax write-off ghostwriters on Bad Boy.

Same way Eazy actually hoped The Chronic did well because he'd get paid from it.

Nope, I'm not reading anymore of that. You can fool random people on twitter and the coli. Whether you worked in the industry or have read about it extensively you know a simple fact: the vast majority of rap deals in the 90s were bad, and Bad Boy gave out the worst ones.
