Situations like PR can only happen when citizens on the mainland are oblivious to the fact that America is an imperial power and these people are suffering or don’t live as full class citizens in the way we do.

PR should either become a state or become independent with the option of free association. Free association is still lightweight neocolonialism i.e. Palau, Marshall Islands, Micronesia Islands, etc.
