Mock drafts have taking Emmanuel Ogbah from OK state. Now I'm gonna front like I've watched a ton of college FB this year, because I haven't. But I'm hearing he's not really explosive.

I do like Robert Nkemdiche, another pass rusher from Ole Miss. We need to stock up of pass rushers. We've made too many average QB's look like pro bowlers, with kirk cousins being the main one. We fukking saved his and gruden's career.

Todd McShay has us taking OT Jack Conklin from Michigan State in his first mock draft. I wouldn't be surprised if that happened and we try to address DL/DB through free agency.

Why can't Conklin play RT?
Don't know, I really don't know anything about Conklin, but wouldn't drafting him mean they don't think Smith would be a fit at LT in the future.

I just know that drafting a dude to play RT would kinda piss me off with all the other needs we need.

Wait, would that mean Dotson and Cherlius would be gone as well?

Not necessarily. We can shuffle the line as needed. Like I said earlier, DL/DB are the biggest holes. Why reach for those positions if they're not there in the draft? It's way too early to talk about the draft right now though. We don't even know for sure if Doug Martin is coming back :yeshrug:

How would y'all feel about trading for Sheldon Richardson? D-Line needs help and with him, McCoy would have somebody to help him on the line. Jets prolly drafted his replacement in Leonard Williams and they gotta resign Wilkerson. Might be able to get him for a future 2nd and maybe a 4th this year?

Then draft VHIII or Ramsey in the 1st, Shalique Calhoun from MSU in the 2nd or the from Duke, in the 3rd if he falls or best available player

FA would target a Marvin Jones or Travis Benjamin, as well as a OG to replace Mankins if he doesn't take a paycut, maybe target Janoris Jenkins as well. If the money right, go after Vernon from Miami.

D- Line could be Smith/(Richardson)/McCoy/(Vernon or Calhoun)
LBers could be David/Kwon/not sure about LOLB

Heard good things about ogbah from ok St. Wouldn't mind that pick at all. Maybe go after Vernon from Miami. I also would take a look at Mohammed Sanu or Marvin Jones. That way we can draft all defense

Man I'd love to get one or 2 of the receivers I like in this draft for jameis but I just saw that were on pace to finish with the best yards per game rank in franchise history. I wouldn't be mad at defense for the first 4 or 5 rounds at all.
If jalen Ramsey falls to us I'll be so happy. I watched a lot of FSU last year (for jameis) and, as a sophomore, he was clearly the best player on a defense with 2 of the best defensive rookies this year, Darby and Edwards, and some more that should still have solid nfl careers.

Welp that was a shytty ending to an interesting season to say the least :francis:

Jameis had a good year, could have beem better, but dude's gonna be a monster if we build properly around him.

Doug had a great year in his contract year, now we gotta figure out if we wanna keep him or let Sims be the guy back there

Evans had a good year for missing 2-3 games, but damn he had a lot of drops and needs to stop flippin' out over everything

VJax had an interesting year, now we gotta figure out what we're gonna do with him.

Kwon was great for a 4th round pick, him and David should be a beast linebacker tandem.

Rest of the defense...
:camby:

Y'all wanna make this the off-season thread?

I might make a list of FAs that could possibly be available tomorrow, cuz I ain't got school and free from school. Let's see who the team could target.

Jameis Christ, 58.3% completion, 4037 passing yards, 22 TDs to 15 INTs....not bad for a rookie 21 year old QB.:obama:

Doug E. Fresh had an excellent year, 1402 rushing yards, we definitely need to re-sign him & I like the pairing of him with Charles Sims III:ehh:

Mike Evans also had a really productive season, 1206 receiving yards on 16.3 ypc in only 14 games, but like you said the drops HAVE to go. Jax just fell off this season, but I think it was due more to injury than his skill diminishing. I really wanna see Evans, Jax, ASF all healthy and with Jameis Christ for 16 games. We do need a slot WR though. Somebody brought up Travis Benjamin before in here, I wouldn't mind seeing how he would fit with us:manny:

"Hit The Kwon" Alexander and Lavonte "Baby Derrick Brooks" David have me happy for our future at LB....we just need another OLB to step up and take the spot opposite David. "The Real McCoy" and "Young Joc" Smith had nice seasons imo, but I want to add another DE. Michael Bennett should be back in Pewter next season.

The rest of the defense though, we really need a #1 CB and a good safety in the secondary to improve our pass defense. The run defense wasn't bad (we finished Top 10 in the NFL in run defense), but we gotta stop letting people kills us in the air.

All in all, this was the best losing record season we had in a minute....I kinda feel like we are on the cusp brehs. Reminds me of the season we went 6-10 in 1996 (Dungy's 1st season) and then made a leap the following year. I really think we are a couple pieces away and Jameis, Evans, and Martin are a good set of young triplets we can build around for the future.

Bruce Carter didn't seem that bad when he played after Kwon's suspension, wonder if he could play the other OLB position :patrice:
