lol..

my point is Grossman was naturally a gun slinger (not a good one...but still) and once he started worrying about making mistakes......he made plenty of them and got worse. Cant put shackles on his QB.

I could be wrong...but if Lovie challenged that VJack TD...

Jameis QB rating would have finished at 94:francis:

You right about that rating. You always want your rookie to play well and develop confidence.

The thing with Rex was he just didn't give a fukk no matter the situation. He was a dude who thought he was Farve but played like a two dollar imitation.

Dude would get into highs and lows during a game because he would not understand down and distance. There is no reason to thread the needle if it is third and 1 on your 20 with that defense. Throw it out of bounds and punt it.

He also had small hands like Culpepper, Moon and Dave Kraig so he would fumble a lot. To top it off he wasn't the best at reading coverages and you could confuse him.

So you have a dude who fumbles a lot, has issues reading coverages and is prone to try and throw balls into double and triple coverages. You know you playing at a disadvantage at QB.

Not to mention I always believed the mckaskeys were pushing Lovie to start Rex. I believe that season they went to the Superbowl was one of the best coaching (defensive wise and special teams wise) you will ever see. Those dudes had to make up for the mistakes made by the QB.

Luckily Rex had a fishy relationship with Kyle Shannonhan that helped him get numerous jobs when he should have been out of the league.

Not sure about that. Ryan will be able to confuse Jameis as well with his blitzes. Remember this OL is the worst in the league and is starting two rookies.

You just want to see constant progression each game. I think the season starts out slow and they begin to tell come the second half.

Maybe so. But the gameplan must be different. You have to attack 3-4 defenses. You cant be conservative imo.

The Bucs are in a rock and a hard place. The have the skill positions and the QB to throw the ball down field. However, they dont have the oline for it. If Jameis is throwing 30+ times he's at serious risk of getting hurt.

They need those rookie lineman to develop quick and for Mike Evans to get healthy.

Just week one :yeshrug: And it was a Lebeau defense we are talking about. Y'all have no running game to speak of whatsoever. Teams won't respect the PA. Just line up in shotgun and establish the passing game to set up the run
Could have drafted Los at RB and Rashad to be their slot wr (easy throws) :francis:

If Doug can play like he did Sunday i think we'll be okay. But no more of this BS putting Rainey/Sims in the 3rd quarter. When we went away from the run bad things happened. Offense had no rhythm.

We're pretty set at WR i think too. Bell will be back from injury and that kid Humphries looks like hes a scrappy white slot WR :troll:

Still going to have growing pains on offense though regardless of talent.

Defense still boils down to no pass rush...

I didn't think these nikkas would respond like this.
Breh i turned the game on a little late cuz i was out with my girl and literally was like :leon:

Defense swarmed...amazing what can happen when a pass rush works.

Thoughts on Evans? :ld:

nikka laid a goose egg out there in fantasy for me :shaq2:

I noticed when Koetter started calling more aggressive plays, Jameis played better. Lovie needs to stop coaching like he's neutered
who you tellin', I lost cuz of Evans bein' gimped up and used as a decoy :snoop:
