Only rock & roll artists should be in the rock & roll hall of fame. Fucc these old white men stuck in their childhood in the 70's & 80's. Its like when i saw some documentary about odd future they kept saying 'is this the future of rock music?' this ain't no damn rock, rock music had its era but now for 20 years its been the rap era just because rock came first it doesn't define music. Rappers shouldn't be under no rock umbrella.

Dope that they're both getting nominated. I know Public Enemy did some heavy metal stuff back in the day. But are they ROCK and ROLL....no. Influential to Rock and Roll.....yes. I wonder if we will ever see a big HIP HOP hall of fame.

I think you're taking "rock and roll" hall of fame a bit too literally. They have people from all genres in there.

There isn't a hip-hop hall of fame because nobody in hip-hop continues to force the issue. They thought about having something built in the Bronx a few years ago but nothing ever came of it.

Besides, it goes back to what I said in another thread, who within hip-hop even wants to have an official platform to validate?

i don't see LL or Rakim getting in the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame. 90% of me thinks who the fukk cares because i can remember when the type of people who run the RnR HOF would say rap isn't music, it's just noise, etc etc blah blah blah so i couldn't give a fukk who they accept from the Hip Hop community.
