Damn. There's a whole lot of ass whoopings that need to be handed out over this. Honestly, even with the fukked up nature of this, I feel like the NCAA is just gonna say it's a criminal matter then put Penn State on probation for the next decade. They'll claim the "violation" wasn't related to the sports in terms of administration of the actual sport or unpermissable benefits just "bad judgement". It's kinda sad that if feels like the governing body cares more about punishing athletes for trivial shyt than they are about protecting people. If Penn State doesn't get the football taken away for AT LEAST one season then no athletic program should ever get the death penalty after this for anything less.

If you want to see why this behavior was tolerated, all you have to do is look at Matt Millen on ESPN...

Even with evidence presented, he still can't accept it. That hero worship won't let him.

They were saying that it would be a reach for the NCAA to even get involved so giving PSU the death penalty would be on Dhalsim levels

He's on ESPN right now apologizing for Joe Paterno and saying Joe wouldn't do that. "He was a character guy."
i know they want try to allow all sides of the spectrum to be shown, but they shouldn't put him on TV if they know he feels that way after all this evidence.

i'm sure they know it too, but want to do it anyway for the people's reaction.

Exactly. This is why the demands to nuke State College and the school in general while hyperbolic don't seem to be without merit. With Joe Paterno dead hopefully they can start behaving like a proper university without all of those Pleasantville/Archie comic book pretensions.

Yes, I agree.

I really don't understand how it gets to that point with people. It happens more with sports than anything else. The only people that have ever existed that I would blindly defend are my pops, my mom and my grandmas. That's it.

Part of me wants ESPN to remove dude as an analyst. He clearly isn't seeing things from a realistic standpoint if he still thinks Paterno is a "character guy". This isn't an opinion thing anymore. It's a documented coverup. The Paterno family knew what was up that's why they released that "don't judge based on the report" memo this past week. They should just give the kids a chance to transfer without penalty if they haven't already and kill it for a year.

Mark May "Joe Paterno is as morally as culpable as Jerry Sandusky for covering up for and harboring a child molester for 15 years."

He's going off on ESPN right now

Yeah, May definitely went in. The findings of the report as well as the that old Pitt/Penn State rivalry had him:stylin:
