So instead of paying $35 you'd rather have a more lag filled experience and bootleg features they tried to emulate from xbox? On the xbox side, we get DLC first, we get ESPN, CableTV for those who don't have tuners  Magna app which has like any Anime for free. Epix/Crackle is basically Redbox FOR FREE, UFC in 1080p (cable only does 1080i)
If saving $35 is that important to you, then how do you afford games?

I got both systems breh. Still ain't payin' for Live though :manny:

PlayStation Plus got injected with a healthy dose of “awesome” last month with the introduction of the Instant Game Collection. The Instant Game Collection features 12 downloadable titles that included the likes of inFamous 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, and Just Cause 2. This month, that collection grows with a few games dropping out and three new games rotating in, including Gotham City Imposters, Pac-Man Championship Edition DX, and Renegade Ops.

PlayStation Digital Platform Community Manager Morgan Haro made the announcement through the PlayStation Blog, letting everyone know what kind of content they could look forward to through PlayStation Plus in July.

Gotham City Imposters is a lighthearted look at the world of Batman with goofy heroes and villains battling for dominance on maps spread across a cartoony Gotham. Pac-Man Championship Edition DX turns the series on its ear with high-energy, adrenaline-fueled twists on the classic gameplay. Finally, Renegade Ops is a four-player top-down twin stick shooter that puts players behind the wheel of some seriously destructive vehicles in order to take down an evil warlord. All three games will be available free to Plus members as soon as the store update goes live Tuesday.

The fun doesn't stop there, either. The PlayStation Store's Summer Sale kicks off tomorrow, too, with Plus subscribers netting 50 percent off on a bunch of great games, including Shadow of the Colossus, Killzone 3 Multiplayer and Crysis.

Also added to the savings lists for PlayStation Plus will be upcoming strategy RPG, Rainbow Moon. This one's set to drop on July 10 with Plusers getting 20 percent off.

Haro promises more info on further July Plus deals will be announced in a couple of weeks. While you wait, why not play some of those games we were just talking about?

Does anybody know why PS+ never has any sales on the memberships like XBox Live does?
You can get Live subs for 35 for the year, but I've never seen PS+ cheaper than 50. Why? WHY?
:why:

Because the purpose of Plus is to give free games, discounts and other free shyt. Giving a discount on the initial price defeats the purpose. XBL is an online play subscription, not a premium get free shyt subscription. You may get a little discount on Live but you end up paying for DLC, avatar clothes and themes. Not really much of a discount in the long run. :ld:

Atlus is feeling the spirit (sale til july 31st)

https://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/07/03/today-50-off-atlus-games-in-the-hojaefjaam-psn-sale/

$5 - finally grabbing that yggdra union
Just adding to it...

Summer time is here, which means it's time for some scorching games deals. Oh look! Here comes one now! Atlus has announced they will be celebrating the hottest months of the year with a sale that offers “half off just about everything for just about a month” through the PlayStation Network. This includes a bunch of popular games from Atlus' handheld line-up as well as their titles that found a nice little niche market on the home consoles as well.

We're talking PSN titles, games you can play on your PSP/Vita and full digital copies of PS3 games, all available for half off.

“When we think about summer, we think about two thing,” said Atlus Manager of PR and Sales Aram Jabbari. “First, gaming, because dermatologists appreciate reduced exposure to the sun. Second, money, and how little of it we want to have to spend.”

Jabbari said there is a third thing that pops to mind for Atlus, which is “compulsive generosity.” And we all love a company who is willing to be generous and heart-felt and compassionate towards gamers...right? Right.

“Anyways, put all of that together and you have the perfect treat for gamers, a huge sale on a number of award-winning Atlus titles,” he concluded.

The big sale ends on July 31, so you literally have “just about a month” to make your discounted purchases. And now, on to those games...

-Crimson Gem Sage (PSP) $7.49
