PS5’s ‘Resume Activity’ Feature Apparently Gone for Good

It was Inconsistent. It worked with 1st party games but not with 3rd party.
It was inconsistent and the card system is kinda confusing. I feel like most people didn't even know it was a feature.

Never used it, but compared to the Xbox version it was severely lacking.
I rarely ever turn my PS5 on. I can barely remember what any of the screens look like. I would have never known if no one said anything.
Yeah some of them let you boot the game into your last save file or resume wherever you left off. But it was always cluttered among the achievement cards, if the game even allowed it.I know I didn't

shyt was a great feature and really there's no reason to delete it. All it did was skip the splash screens and the loading of a selected file
So instead of pressing X to start the game, waiting 5 minutes, hitting "continue" then loading the game..............
You'd hit X to select resume and the game loads directly into your last save in about 15 seconds..
Not sure why anyone would brag about not using as if it did some special cheat move for you. It literally just saved you time and you could load up the long way too

Xbox resume is actually amazing.
It's honestly one of the major factors in me enjoying playing my Xbox for games rather than PS.
It's hard to get someone to understand, because it seems so simple and basic. But it's the equivalent of going from HHD to SSD. You have to experience to really understand.
With that said what they had was serviceable just not consistent. I've had my the power go out for a couple days because of weather and the system still held all the quick resume save states when it was powered back up.
Hopefully Xbox doesn't abandon this and expands upon it.
