PS5 & XSX Stock/Pickup Thread

I've got a console, but I was just telling my boy to grab one from eBay.

Seeing as this is likely to last throughout the year, I figured we should have a dedicated thread for people having issues getting one of these systems. I know some members here have been helping people out with copping a system whether it be through alerts or copping it and mailing it to a member for MSRP. @ me with the console you're trying to pick up and I'll add your name to whichever list (or both). That way, when one becomes available, we can just mention all the usernames at once notifying them of availability. We can also cross people off the list as they grab one.

I think there was a chrome add on like (octoshop maybe?) that alert you when either console came in stock

Yep, OctoShop.

Add that Chrome extension, guys. That's how I copped my PS5 disk a few months ago.
I still have it installed so I get alerts all the time when PS5 and XBOX are stocked at Gamestop, Walmart, BB, Target, Amazon, etc.
And you can set it to stock prices and not the BS resellers rate.

Let me help the bruhs out. I was wanna one of the fools who didnt preorder either console and had to fight with other consumers, the greedy scalpers and the army of bots to grab both consoles.

I got my PS5 fron a Sony Direct drop in Feb. and I just got my XSX from M$ last week (it just arrived this Wednesday ).

Here's my tips:
- Download the Hot Stock app ASAP. This was the major reason I was able to land both consoles. Some suggest paying the extra $5 to get the premium service so you can alerts faster but I never did and I was able to grab both consoles just fine.

- If youre on Twitter follow Matt Swider https://mobile.twitter.com/mattswider. This dude is plugged in with the restocking game and has made it his mission to help regular bruhs get whatever consoles they are looking for and constantly post twitter updates of new drops as soon as they happen, sometimes before the Hot Stock app.
Ive also heard the Twitter account Sole Links was good as well. https://mobile.twitter.com/SOLELINKS

- Be prepared. Whether its Sony, M$, Best Buy, Target, etc. Have you an account and CC info already registered with these places so as soon as you get the alert you can add the consoles to your cart and check out expeditiously.

- Even if the items sell out, keep them in your cart for next time. It makes checking out go that much faster and can be the difference in you grabbing that console.

- Lastly, just be persistent and hop on them Alerts ASAP when they come cross your phone.

Use which ever one alerts you first. They both will lead you to the product screen. If its a retailer that lets you keep things in your cart even if its sold out (like Microsoft or Target) just keep a link to your cart handy so when the drops happen you can access your cart instantly with the console on deck and move right to check out.
