I have never seen either in store unless someone was picking it up from the customer service/preorder area.
Seen lots of random Twitter posts with huge displays of Series S consoles just sitting on the floor in electronics sections. People said in smaller towns you will definitely see the S, occasionally but RARELY an X and never a PS5.

There are. I ordered an S for the back room last week and it just shipped last night. Microsoft store was dropping Series S and X constantly like every hour but in like 1 or 2 minute increments. No one on Twitter was catching it because the drops were happening hella fast.
Zoolert, I had the rooster sound enabled and it sounded like I was in a chicken coop. Kept trying and finally got that shyt to go through.
A quick glance on eBay confirms what I been saying. The prices people are getting now are worse than the first 2 days.
That Christmas week desperation myth is just that. In reality the people that have the money to pay the high prices don't hold out trying to land one at a store post-launch for Christmas.
The holdouts can't or aren't willing to afford it like that and you not squeezing more from them. Why would you pay $1300 now when you could have paid $900?
We're in the final hours of reasonable eBay shipping where you'd get this before Christmas.
