PS5 was the best selling American console in January. 7% ahead of PS4. Xbox still being outsold by Switch

Genuinely, what is the point of having Xbox now? What advantages does it provide?
Gamepass.

Though as someone who is paying for the top tier of PS+ and who feels overwhelmed by all the games that are listed, I prefer to just buy what I want since I know my tastes pretty well by now.

Would love to see the completion rates of Persona 3 Reload on gamepass. It didn’t even chart on Xbox on the NPD

This was always my sentiment :hubie:

Plus I want what I want not something that’s predetermined for me and ownership

But I do think that model is appealing for people who want to save money because Xbox has a way better selection of games on their service than PS.

But I’m far from broke so I don’t mind spending my money when and where I want. shyt I’m buying 4 games at retail in the next 30 games.

I own both and prefer Xbox as my multiplat console in most cases, primarily because Quick Resume is too clutch. Quick Resume and more controller options (1st and 3rd party), more 3rd party day 1 releases on Gamepass, and you can use the New Zealand trick to play most new releases a day early. Elite controller is better than the DS Edge in just about every way including price, mappable buttons, and battery life.

I use PS5 for exclusives, some multiplayer games, and general media watching because ps5 has the best media remote, but quick resume is too convenient to not be using regularly and I need my elite controller for ARPGs and shooters

Overall if someone could only buy one over the other, I would probably recommend PS5 as the all around pick but if you mostly play multi-plat games or regularly have multiple games in rotation then Xbox is the better console for that IMO

Not surprised you weren't honest about the "amazing" build quality of the elite series 2 controller

But it is better than the edge in terms of 2 more back paddles and battery life. Still missing haptics, adaptive triggers, mic, etc, tho.

…And Gyro and having a built-in Mic

I also hate how loud the standard controller is. Why would they feel the need to make the controller that noisy?

Sony fukked up with only 2 paddles on the edge instead of 4, otherwise I don't think most people would pick the elite series 2 over the edge unless you're used to a certain feel and reluctant to adapt.

There's a reason why Xbox is releasing their own version of Sony's controller later this year.
