these numbers don't make sense. I guess a lot of those Game Pass subscribers have "Ultimate" which includes Gold, but then they should be included in the Gold numbers

PC users would have gamepass without gold.
Mobile users might have ultimate for the mobile gaming but don't need the gold or may not have a console.
These numbers are also from q42021 so it may be folks just letting their gold expire after a 1 year card etc.

I get your point though, there isn't much value in buying gold AND gamepass since ultimate is 14, but I believe that upgrade is automatic so they'd probably be under the gamepass users as well.
