Props to David West for paying for Dr. Ben's funeral

Not sure if many in here know who Yosef Ben Jochannan aka Dr. Ben is but he is one of the most noted black historians of our time who recently passed away at the age of 92.

Well after hearing of his passing, the Pacers David West paid for his funeral costs saying he never met Dr. Ben but was influenced by him after reading his books and listening to his tapes and this was a way of him giving back

MANY heads including me paid his bills and I visited him at nursing home in the BX. Attended his funeral on Thursday as well.

Again.....Tariq is a Harlem incesence stand/black soap seller who fascinates you outta town heads on that surface level talk

It's dope that David West did this. It's even more dope, that Africans in the community stepped up to pay his bills and visit him.

I just happen to think funerals are a waste of money and burials should be outlawed. Once u die, u should cease taking up space on this planet. Everyone should cremated.

Now paying his bills so his fam doesn't have to be burdened is commendable
