I understand that but when the parent company isnt exactly known for craftsmanship/fit&finish, it really becomes noticible when parts are shared between cars that are across a wide price range.

to each it's own, but GM stepped their game up as of recently. almost every car company now that I think about it, as far as build quality.

car is ugly, its gigantic, and it looks like it drives like a boat with wheels. I dont see the appeal with these cars. all vanity & very little substance, i'll take the same year Corolla gt-s[ae86] over this hood monstrosity

the only era of Cadillac's I could care less for would be the 70's and 80's. (some of them are aight, but the other era's had to the best model designs imo)

with that being said, I'd take the AE86 over the 81' El Dorado too, and most Japanese cars don't even appeal to me.

the new Lincoln's looks so much better imo... I hate how GM uses the same interior pieces across different platforms, youll see the same knobs/cheap plastic in a cts as in a malibu.

Plus they age terribly, look at a first gen CTS next to the same year A4/TSX/3 SERIES/IS

What are you talking about?
Cadillac gets all the new stuff GM tries out years before it hits the other platforms. Cadillac started putting LED's in the tail lights damn near 15 years ago, you just now seeing them in the other GM platforms. So yeah you may see the same knobs in a '04 Caddy that you see in a '14 Malibu, but dont act like a brand new Caddy CTS got the same interior design as a new Malibu because that's just not true. And I would take a first Gen CTS over any of those cars you mentioned.
