Ellis Pittman was an inspiration because he was not only successful, but he remained in the Mississippi Delta in hopes to improve the area and still prospered.
He was killed while deposing a young black man he allowed to do some construction work for his home in the past. Pittman was suing him because the work was substandard. The deposition took place in Pittman's law office.
I really think he was killed because the defendant was really what would be called a hater who resented this successful man.
Pittman also owned a hospice care center.
