If we’re talking about painting a picture, Project Pat music was the most realistic protoryal of southern hood shyt back then and still to this day really. That no territory no loyalty, equal opportunity, get it how you live stuff is more true to real life than what you hear in a lot of these trap songs. In his songs Pat was one of them dudes who robbing in Jan, selling dope by the summer, pimping by Holloween and doing a few mos in county by Xmas. When he get out he pops up on the other side of town and does the exact same shyt. Thats more in line with what actually happens than most of the other stuff you hear. I’d say it even still holds true today because the trap shyt doesn’t reflect how almost half the game is really scamming now. For southern rappers on the street shyt, Pat is unquestionably the best story teller. shyt isn’t even close. Not even gonna touch on the fact his music was the soundtrack to fuccery back then. Somebody above me already said that so I don’t have even to go there.

:wow:

I Got Cheese, hoes and a bunch of fukking dope. I got P’s, coke and some killas at the door.
:wow:

That was the best swerving/burning out song back in the day, doing a doughnut in a G Body Coupe in somebody mama front yard after the house party ended, swerving into the other lane at the light scaring the shyt outta folks, punching that 350 motor down the block with them flows hitting, 12's in the back thumping. I miss those days, they starting to fall under the 20 year cycle, been trying to bring that feeling back on some vintage cool shyt. Real shyt. Might just see me this summer in a '96 SS bumping some shyt like this

Anybody getting subwoofers back in the day had this CD handy. Great album to rattle the trunk to.

Everywhere...You never there.
Hearing all the features he's bodied over the past few years, cashing in on that Memphis resurgence and historical recognition, I've grown to appreciate his prolifically stark writing and flow. He needs to be on more people's lists.

Man I love this album and Ghetty Green. I always thought Pat was lowkey dope but I never imagined how much of a pioneer he would be. I bet a current rapper(like 21 Savage) could take this album word for word, beat for beat and would be successful with it.
