That would not pass muster at a school and kids would have a right to sue... If he actually came in and made believe he did that to get his point across fine but sometimes a difference of a few gpa points could decide if a student gets their dream job and that could be a difference of like 10-15gs in their starting salary which is grounds for a lawsuit

The story isn't real. It gives no information (professor name, school name, etc). It's chain mail most likely. There are hundreds of these out there.
