I add sherbet to my smoothies to give it an added hint of flavor.
I add greek yogurt (honey and vanilla) or coconut milk for a creamy texture.

I tried greens in my smoothie but it just doesn't taste good like bolthouse farms/naked smoothie mix. Instead I saute the leafy ones or eat them with a light vinaigrette.

Does the Greek yogurt have added sugar? I always thought it was too thick to be a good base for a smoothie.

Not a base, just a couple spoonfuls (depending on the size of your smoothie) does help.

I finally started my garden, the herbs are ready :takedat:

I just have herbs, bell peppers and tomatoes. I want to add spinach and something else next week. Probably kale..

I have been thinking about it and I really want to get started..

I use plain and add my own honey and vanilla so ican control the sugars plus its protein packed which is what I lack. For the base I use coconut water.

The problem I've been having is even with the plain greek yogurt, it's like 12 grams of protein and 17 grams of sugar. It's really no point to it. But I'm getting really sick of soy/almond milk and wanna try something new. What brand do you use?

Fgae total 0% has 8g sugar and 20g protein. I add like a teaspoon of raw honey and a few drops of vanilla to the big container for my smoothies.

It's not hard. I had been wanting to and waiting. But just start small, and plan. There are a lot of sites to help I also bought a book.
