It really dawned on me that one half of Mobb Deep is dead. Like Mobb Deep is dead, that is a hard pill to swallow

Bar none, this is the grimiest hip-hop song of all time. Even better than 36 Chambers, OB4CL.. I appreciated Mobb Deep's humanist poetry. I liken Prodigy's lyricism to Christopher Nolan's Batman. Something inherently realistic, no suspension of disbelief. Nothing to be confused with embedded symbolism or mysticism.

Prodigy brought you right into those moments with him. You'll never hear those raw, unadulterated tales again unfortunately. The game changed.
